Tid(y)Up - Save Our Rivers!

2020. November 05. 09:00-14:15 (CET)

International online conference and kick-off event of the Tid(y)Up Project - focusing on marine and riverine waste

Link to the conference summary

Approximately 12 million tons of waste is released into our living waters every year, 80% of which enters the seas and oceans through rivers. Studies, innovations, startups are born all over the world to solve the problem we are part of. We would like to meet the initiatives working in parallel with us to move together to a more efficient, higher level by sharing knowledge. Our topics are pollution prevention, collection and processing of pollution data, how to build a professional network system for common solutions, the most effective cleaning actions, the limitations and opportunities of recycling, fundraising and shaping attitude.

The Tid(y)Up - Save Our Rivers! INTERREG DTP project conference was held within the framework of the Danube Transnational Programme, co-financed by the EU. The topic of the online and on-site conference was the conservation of our freshwaters, and it saw experts and representatives of the field from all around Europe presenting methods for measuring river pollution, the idea of establishing a common knowledge-sharing platform and the possibilities of recycling river waste.
